Ballon d’Or: Yan Diomandé could earn RB Leipzig more than 1.6 billion CFA francs if he wins

RB Leipzig could receive around €2.5 million, or more than 1.6 billion CFA francs, if Yan Diomandé wins the Ballon d’Or as a Real Madrid player. Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg said the bonus clause was reportedly negotiated by sports chief Marcel Schäfer during the Ivorian’s transfer. Diomandé, 19, joined Real Madrid in August 2026 for €125 million, with up to €15 million in additional bonuses. After scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in the 2025–26 Bundesliga season, he has recorded four goals and four assists in 14 appearances for Real.
