C-64 seeks meetings with Tshisekedi and Kabila to promote inclusive national dialogue

Meeting in Rome from October 25 to 27, the opposition coalition Article 64 (C-64) said it intends to meet President Félix Tshisekedi and his predecessor Joseph Kabila to seek a political solution to the crisis in the DRC. The coalition called for inclusive national dialogue, saying the crisis has no military solution, and urged better coordination between the Doha process and African facilitation led by Angola and Togo. It also stressed the need to uphold the ceasefire, protect civilians and ensure humanitarian access.
