CAF: Patrice Motsepe increases subsidies for 54 federations to nearly 392 million FCFA

CAF president Patrice Motsepe plans to increase the annual subsidy for its 54 member associations from 112 to 392 million FCFA, a 250% rise. This revaluation was announced at the CAF strategic conference in Sal, Cape Verde, aiming to improve federation operations, financial stability, and local football development through funding for infrastructure, academies, and amateur competitions. Ultimately, CAF aims to reach an annual allocation of one million dollars per federation, contingent on new commercial partnerships.
