The exchange of demonetized BEAC coins began on November 2, 2026, at the BEAC national agency in Yaoundé, where the counter opened at 7:30 a.m. Demonetization took effect on November 1 following a decision made on October 7 in N’Djamena by the Ministerial Committee of the Central African Monetary Union.
