Cameroon – Galax Etoga named in the Martinez Zogo case

Lieutenant Colonel Parfait Ayissi Nanga, the prosecution’s 36th witness, accused Secretary of State for Defence Galax Etoga and defendant Martin Savom on Monday, 26 October 2026, of threatening him and attempting to kill him. Before the Yaoundé military tribunal, he described an arrest and pressure followed by an attempted murder. The court demanded evidence and adjourned the hearing until the next day, while the senior officer sought protection to testify. Martinez Zogo, director of Amplitude FM, was abducted in Yaoundé on 17 January 2023, and his body was found five days later.
