Cameroon – Mbango-Fara Road: In Mbondossi, Getting to School Becomes an Obstacle Course

In Batouri, in Cameroon’s East Region, rainwater has cut off the Mbango-Fara road between Mbondossi and Camp Mission since the start of the rainy season. Hundreds of pupils, including those from Saint Martin School, must pay 300 to 500 CFA francs to cross by motorcycle taxi. Residents complain about the mud and rubbish around the stagnant water and question why no action has been taken. The town council has not yet made a public response.
