Cameroon-UN: CFAF 657 billion still to be mobilized for 2027-2031 cooperation framework

Cameroon and the United Nations System still need to mobilize about CFAF 657.3 billion to fund their 2027-2031 sustainable development cooperation framework. Of the total CFAF 860.5 billion budget, CFAF 203.2 billion has been identified as available, or 23.6% of requirements, including CFAF 141.7 billion in “core” funding and CFAF 61.5 billion in “non-core” resources. The document was signed in Yaoundé on October 30, 2026, by Economy Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey and UN Resident Coordinator Issa Sanogo. Sanogo recommends expanding partnerships with development finance institutions and the private sector to close the funding gap.
