“Cameroonians ignored you”: Oscar Ndjiki attacks Cabral Libii and defends Kamto’s political clout

On November 6, Oscar Ndjiki criticized Cabral Libii over remarks attributed to the PCRN leader about how Maurice Kamto’s supporters voted. Ndjiki argued that if voters followed Kamto supporters’ calls to vote against Libii rather than Libii’s appeal to vote for him, that showed Kamto’s influence and meant Cameroonians had ignored Libii. He also rebuked Libii for presenting himself as the opposition’s most charismatic political figure. Ndjiki linked the dispute to the last presidential election, in which Libii received just over 3% of the vote, and said it pointed to greater political weight for the MRC and Kamto than for the PCRN.
