Cancer: SIPT says Zézépagnon’s effectiveness has not yet been demonstrated

The Ivorian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (SIPT) has warned against claims that Zézépagnon is a cancer cure. Experiments presented in Abidjan on October 14 by Burkinabè researcher Richard Sawadogo found reduced viability in cancer cells in laboratory tests, while a 14-day test on mice showed no acute toxicity or deaths. SIPT says these preliminary findings do not establish the product’s effectiveness or safety in humans, particularly with prolonged use. The Ivorian Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority says Zézépagnon is not authorized in Côte d’Ivoire, and SIPT urges patients not to replace medical treatment with the preparation.
