Cape Town mother alleges taxi driver threatened her during road-rage incident

A Cape Town mother and her one-year-old daughter were left terrified after a taxi driver allegedly threatened to kill her during a road rage incident on Wetton Road. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2026, after she left a coffee shop, when the driver tried to force her to give way, brake suddenly multiple times, and blocked traffic on a bridge. She recorded a video of the driver shouting in English and another language, threatening her life, which has since changed her approach to driving alone due to fear.
