Cleanliness in Bingerville: MJC-ECOCI mobilizes residents for a healthier living environment

The Mutual of Journalists and Communicators for Ecocitizenship in Côte d’Ivoire (MJC-ECOCI) held a waste-collection and public-awareness campaign in Bingerville on November 7, 2026, under the theme “A new citizen for an even cleaner Bingerville.” Sponsored by deputy mayor Issouf Doumbia, the operation ran from the Pharmacie principale intersection to the town’s new bus station, following earlier stops in Assinie, Adjamé and Marcory. MJC-ECOCI president Regtoumda Abdou Racisse urged residents to adopt ecocitizen habits and recalled penalties for illegal dumping. The municipality and environmental partners, including BMT Green Academy founder Marie-Thérèse Bahiya, supported the initiative.
