Commercial motorcyclists in Ikom embark on compulsory prayers, fasting

Commercial motorcyclists in Ikom, known as Okada riders, have undertaken a mandatory one-day fast enforced by their association. The weekly fast aims to promote unity and prevent incidents like accidents and robberies, according to 40-year-old Maxwell Nsan. The reduction in crime in Ikom is confirmed by the DPO, CSP Abdulrahman Lagbe, and the LGA chair, Pastor Mercy Nsor, who believe prayers and faith in God have contributed to the safety improvements.
