Contractor faces loss of R1.68m Paarl home over unpaid R165,000 construction debt

The court set a R1 million reserve price, finding the proposed repayment plan financially unsustainable. It postponed the auction until March 2027 to give the family time to find alternative accommodation and protect the couple’s two children.

Democrats could pursue a third impeachment, though party leaders have not committed to it; removing Trump would require a two-thirds Senate vote.
