Côte d’Ivoire: Dr Koné Dramane denounces “judicial harassment” of the opposition

Several PDCI-RDA and PPA-CI officials have been summoned to court in recent weeks, including before the antiterrorism section of the Abidjan Court of First Instance, over alleged acts linked to the October 2020 electoral crisis. Those named from the PDCI-RDA include Mandodja Mbia Roger, Yohou Dia Houphouët Augustin, Hervé Fian and Guillaume Kouakou; their hearings are scheduled for October 15–23, 2026. Dr Koné Dramane, the ADCI coordinator for the Gbêkê region, denounced what he called “judicial harassment” on NCI 360, saying it could weaken the opposition. He considers the summonses especially sensitive because discussions are underway about reforming the electoral body.
