Ruto Raises PAYE Exemption Threshold to Ksh32,333 and Sets Timeline

Speaking at the 63rd Mashujaa Day celebrations at Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Uasin Gishu County, he said he had directed the National Treasury to submit the proposal to Parliament the following week. The change is not yet in effect and must pass the required legislative and fiscal processes. Under the current system, a Ksh2,400 monthly personal relief generally offsets the tax owed by workers earning up to Ksh24,000.

The interview’s contents are unknown, and there is no confirmation that Faye will respond directly to Sonko.
