Dickson accuses Diri of handing Bayelsa to APC; governor’s aide says he will not respond

DR Congo: Moïse Katumbi’s defense denounces irregularities in proceedings before the Court of Cassation

Moïse Katumbi’s lawyer, Seignior Mazaba wa Bobaka, is challenging the legality of proceedings before the Court of Cassation following a 26 October hearing in cases RP 025/CR and RP 026/CR. Citing an officially recorded change of residence to Brussels and Article 82 of a 2013 organic law, he says the proceedings could deny Katumbi a right to appeal and has formally requested that the hearings be reopened. The case pits Katumbi against his half-brother Raphaël Katebe Katoto, who has accused him since 2024 of taking property in Haut-Katanga; the court and prosecutors have not commented on the defense’s allegations.
