Drone attack in disputed Sudan-South Sudan border region kills at least 153

A drone attack struck Amiet Market, north of Abyei town in the disputed Sudan-South Sudan border region, on Monday, killing at least 153 people. Yohanna Akol Ngor, caretaker information minister for the Abyei administration, said fires were still burning and the death toll could rise. South Sudan blamed Sudan’s military and summoned its ambassador, while a Sudanese officer said the strike targeted fuel tankers bound for the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
