Estelle Johnson: “You never know whose dreams you’re helping make come true”

Estelle Johnson thanked an anonymous donor on Threads for covering her football expenses during her youth. More than ten years after receiving that support, she played at the 2019 World Cup for Cameroon, having joined the Indomitable Lionesses in May that year. Born in Maroua and raised in the United States, she retired from international football on March 9, 2025, after more than four years with the national team. She also praised the Lionesses’ victory at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
