2027 Budget: MP Venance Eyanga Mboyo Calls for Renaissance Road Linking Kisenso, Matete and Lemba to Be Included

National MP Venance Eyanga Mboyo urged Prime Minister Judith Suminwa to include work on the Renaissance Road, linking the Kinshasa communes of Kisenso, Matete and Lemba, in the 2027 budget. Work has been halted since 2019, and despite the government disbursing 40% of the funds intended to restart the project in August 2025, construction has not resumed. Eyanga Mboyo warned that work could stop again unless continued funding is secured. The 2027 finance bill, valued at 56.930 trillion Congolese francs, was declared admissible on October 30 after two days of debate in the National Assembly.
