Gaza: Flooding from heavy rains adds to bombardments

Heavy rains flooded thousands of tents sheltering displaced people near Gaza’s port. On Saturday, two Palestinians were injured when a wall weakened by Israeli bombardments and torrential rain collapsed. Hamad Qaaoud, displaced at the port of Gaza, said the camp was submerged and his children had lost their blankets, mattresses and plastic sheeting. Ibrahim Ghattas said conditions were worsening despite the ceasefire, as hundreds of thousands face another winter in makeshift shelters.
