DRC: C64 files complaint against Jacquemain Shabani, Daniel Bumba, Augustin Kabuya, and Israël Kantu after September 15 violence

The Article 64 Coalition (C64) filed a collective complaint with the General Prosecutor of the FARDC against several political and security officials following violence during their march on September 15 in Kinshasa. The complaint targets Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Interior and Security Jacquemain Shabani, Kinshasa Governor Daniel Bumba Lubaki, Police Commissioner Israël Kantu, and UDPS Secretary General Augustin Kabuya. The C64 accuses them of inciting soldiers to commit acts against discipline, voluntary homicide, restricting opposition political rights, and involvement in murder and attempted murder during clashes with members of the 'Forces of Progress,' which resulted in the death of an opposition bodyguard.
