Haut-Katanga: Amid attacks on parish clergy, Archbishop Fulgence Muteba does not rule out self-defense measures

Archbishop Fulgence Muteba Mugalu condemned the assault on clergy members at Notre-Dame de la Paix parish in Lubumbashi and the ongoing insecurity in Haut-Katanga. The president of the CENCO called on authorities to take concrete steps to protect residents and religious institutions from attacks, vandalism and armed violence. He warned that the Church could take measures to defend itself if political leaders fail to address the situation.
