Healthcare infrastructure in Worodougou: Two health centers inaugurated in Fingolo and Séfrédjo

Health Minister Pierre N’Gou Dimba inaugurated rural health centers in Fingolo and Séfrédjo, in the commune of Morondo, Worodougou region, on October 31, 2026. He said the share of Ivorians living within five kilometers of a health center had risen from six in ten to nearly nine in ten, and called for wider enrollment in universal health coverage. Regional Council president Bouaké Fofana praised the new access to nearby care, particularly for pregnant women and people needing treatment. He also warned that illegal gold mining could contaminate water and land.
