Ivorian journalists trained in UEMOA public procurement rules

Around 30 Ivorian journalists attended a training session on UEMOA public procurement rules on October 15 and 16 at the Rose Blanche hotel in Cocody, Abidjan. Organized by the UEMOA Media Platform’s Côte d’Ivoire section, the session covered progress, implementation challenges and prospects for harmonizing rules among member states. Brou Yao Paul of the Directorate General of Public Procurement said greater familiarity with procedures would help journalists distinguish proven irregularities from technical difficulties. Platform president Emeline Amangou announced follow-up support to help participants prepare articles, investigations and in-depth reports.
