Can Tanzania build Monorails in Dar-es-Salaam and Dodoma?

Tanzania is preparing to build new urban railway systems in Dar es Salaam and Dodoma. In Dar es Salaam, a feasibility study has been initiated with French consultancy Systra to assess the route, technology, costs, and implementation model for an urban monorail. The project aims to reduce travel time, congestion, and boost the local economy, in line with Tanzania Development Vision 2050. Dodoma has already completed its feasibility study and is seeking funding for its commuter railway project, estimated at $2.2 billion.
