Jordan’s King Abdullah orders firm response after deadly church attack

A shooting during a funeral at St George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Jordan’s Karak governorate killed eight people and wounded 40 on Friday. Ukraine War: Protests Announced Against the Alleged Unofficial Recruitment of Young Cameroonians

The national collective “Bring Back Our Sons and Brothers” has announced peaceful protests in Cameroon over the alleged recruitment of young Cameroonians who went to Russia and were sent to fight in Ukraine. The collective is calling for recruitment networks to be identified, deaths to be clarified, bodies to be repatriated, and assistance for Cameroonians seeking to leave combat zones.

His bid comes despite US and Canadian sanctions accusing him of facilitating drug trafficking and supporting armed gangs; on October 9, the electoral council removed a provision targeting candidates sanctioned by foreign countries.
