Justify Your Salary Increase, GOC of 1st Division Tells Troops

Major General Abubakar Sadique Muhammad Wase, commander of the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division and Sector 1 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, urged troops of the 171 Battalion in Daura, Katsina State, to justify the federal government’s recent pay rise. He called on them to demonstrate greater professionalism, redouble their efforts, and protect civilians, fellow troops, and military equipment. Wase said the Division would continue addressing the troops’ administrative and logistical needs. He also praised soldiers’ wives as pillars of the home front, saying their support strengthens morale and operational performance.
