Kenya has stepped up health checks at its borders after confirming a second Ebola case on Wednesday. The 39-year-old patient, a close relative of the first case, tested positive while in quarantine; the first patient, a 40-year-old Kenyan living in the Democratic Republic of Congo, died on October 5. Authorities identified about 128 contacts and quarantined 108, with no community transmission reported so far. Residents in Busia are concerned about unauthorized crossings from Uganda, while the outbreak in the DRC has killed 4,381 people among 9,066 confirmed cases.
