Kribi: Woman accused of burning her sister’s children over 2,000 CFA francs

In Londji, in the Kribi district, a woman who was caring for her sister’s children is accused of burning them after suspecting them of stealing 2,000 CFA francs. Neighbors reportedly heard the children’s cries, forced their way into the home, and came to their aid. The children were taken to Kribi’s regional annex hospital, while the woman was reportedly arrested and an investigation opened. The case recalls a similar incident in Dschang in May 2026, when three children were burned with an iron over an alleged theft of 200 CFA francs.
