Kwara ADC Publicity Secretary Quits, Citing Hypocrisy

Abubakar Kabir Basambo, the ADC publicity secretary in Kwara State, resigned on October 23, 2026, accusing some party leaders and state executive members of hypocrisy, dishonesty and double standards. He also criticised ADC governorship candidate Zakari Mohammed for alleged arrogance and warned that such conduct could hinder the party’s growth ahead of the 2027 general elections. Basambo said his meeting with PDP governorship candidate Bolakale Kawu was an act of brotherhood and an effort to canvass for the ADC, not an attempt to work against it. He said he regretted no longer working with his political leader, Abubakar Kannike, but had no regrets about leaving the party.
