Army, police, DSS rescue 21 kidnapped victims in Kogi

Troops of the 12 Brigade, 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and DSS, rescued 21 kidnapped victims in Kogi State on August 31, 2026. The operation took place in the Egume and Ochaja forest following credible information on the victims' whereabouts. Among the rescued were eight males and thirteen females, although one male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victims are currently receiving medical attention, and measures are being taken to reunite them with their families.
