Lekki shooting: Tinubu aide faults Atiku for not questioning Buhari

Dada Olusegun, Bola Tinubu’s social media aide, criticised Atiku Abubakar for demanding accountability over the Lekki shooting six years after the incident, during the anniversary of the #EndSARS protests. He said Atiku could have questioned former president Muhammadu Buhari, who was in office in 2020, during visits to Daura on June 22, 2024, and Kaduna on April 11, 2025. Atiku had asked on X who ordered the shooting and accused the ruling party of failing to provide answers. Olusegun also defended Tinubu, saying his Bourdillon residence nearly burned down during the unrest, and disputed the use of “massacre” in the absence of a definitive legal finding.
