Mbappe scores as Real Madrid beat Racing Santander 3-0

Kylian Mbappe scored an 11th-minute penalty before Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande added goals in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win away to Racing Santander. Third-placed Madrid remain three points behind leaders Barcelona and one point behind Atletico Madrid after earning a sixth straight win in all competitions. The match followed a turbulent week for Mbappe: he missed out on the Ballon d’Or to Harry Kane and apologised for a joke about Mao Zedong; Spanish fixtures this weekend were not shown on Chinese state television. Racing, 16th and back in La Liga after 14 seasons, suffered its first home defeat of the campaign.
