Kenya’s Ministry of Health confirmed a ninth case of Ebola Bundibugyo virus: a 24-year-old man who was a contact of the first patient, who died, and was already in quarantine. Director General of Health Patrick Amoth said all nine cases belong to the same cluster, with no evidence of transmission outside it. The patient was isolated at the first sign of illness, tested and treated after testing positive on October 19. Authorities have traced and quarantined 134 of 135 identified contacts, received 500 doses of medicine and distributed emergency supplies to 28 at-risk counties.
