Ministry Suspends National Youth Council Elections After High Court Ruling

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has suspended the upcoming National Youth Council elections scheduled for October following a High Court order in Kiambu that stayed the implementation of the gazette notice. The ministry will announce new dates after court proceedings. The ward-level elections were set for October 9, constituency elections for October 16, and the National Youth Congress for October 30, where 580 delegates would elect 16 national representatives. The suspension does not affect ongoing voter education activities.
