Morocco: Saibari injured in Klassiker, four days before Ouahbi names his squad

Ismael Saibari was injured on Saturday during the Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the eighth round of the German league. After a collision with goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in the 24th minute, the Moroccan international suffered a double twist to his right knee and ankle and left the pitch before the half-hour mark, assisted by two doctors. Pending further examinations, he is highly doubtful for Morocco’s matches against Niger on November 13 and 17 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. His absence could cost coach Mohamed Ouahbi an important player in the squad he is due to announce on Wednesday.
