Mourinho surprised by Jude Bellingham’s position in Ballon d'Or final ranking

José Mourinho said he was “a bit surprised” that Jude Bellingham finished 11th in the 2026 Ballon d’Or ranking. The Real Madrid manager spoke at a pre-match press conference before his team’s LaLiga clash with Racing Santander. Bellingham scored seven goals and recorded one assist in eight appearances for England at the World Cup, but finished outside the top 10. England teammate Harry Kane won the award ahead of France’s Kylian Mbappé.
