Mourinho’s Real Madrid prepares for a new era: Vinicius extends and a blockbuster transfer window

After a trophyless 2025–26 season, Real Madrid appointed José Mourinho as manager for three seasons, through June 2029. Vinicius Jr. extended his contract until June 30, 2032; since joining in 2018, he has made 375 appearances, scored 128 goals and won 14 trophies with the club. The reported signings also include Marc Cucurella, Yan Diomande, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva and Denzel Dumfries. Konaté has signed through 2030, while Mourinho is tasked with restoring a culture of work and competition in the Madrid dressing room.
