Mystery investors transfer KPC shares worth Sh42bn

Unidentified investors transferred 4.5 billion shares in Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC), valued at Sh42.5 billion, through the Nairobi Securities Exchange. The shares represent 24.76 percent of KPC’s stock. The transaction remains below the 25 percent threshold that would have required approval from Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority. The company’s new top shareholders include the Ugandan government and Kenya’s National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
