A fire destroyed the facilities of Radio Télévision Amani Kivu (RTKA) in Beni during the night of September 16 to 17, 2026, causing significant material damage. Kizito Siriwayo, the radio's manager, stated that all equipment was affected, rendering the station unable to broadcast. The Congolese national police confirmed the damage, indicating that the fire likely originated from an electronic repair workshop. No loss of life has been reported.
