Radio Nigeria journalist Prince Alobi says NDLEA officers assaulted him on Monday as he covered an operation on Lemna Road in Calabar. He alleges that a slap left him unconscious, that officers put him in a vehicle’s trunk, and that they seized and smashed his two iPhones. The Sentry urged the gold and finance sectors to treat Uganda and the UAE as high-risk countries for illicit gold and apply enhanced scrutiny to related transactions.
