'Nigerians deserve a government that listens': Ireti Kingibe demands compliance with Senate resolutions

Ireti Kingibe, senator representing Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, called for strict compliance with Senate resolutions during Thursday’s plenary, supporting a motion by Senator Abdul Ningi. She urged Senate leaders and committee chairmen to use their constitutional powers to ensure government agencies act according to the law. Kingibe said appropriate steps should follow when institutions fail to comply, in accordance with due process. She added that lawmakers must ensure decisions made in Nigerians’ interests are implemented and community concerns receive attention.
