Nile University of Nigeria Inducts 75 New Doctors at 5th MBBS Attestation Ceremony

Nile University of Nigeria inducted 75 new doctors at its fifth MBBS attestation ceremony in Abuja, bringing the number trained since the programme began to 257. The Class of 2025/2026 took the Physician’s Oath on 21 October 2026 after completing academic study and clinical training. Abubakar Dahiru Bobo earned seven distinctions, Shuaib Sanni Farida earned five, and Sadi Abdu Fatima and Hafsa Awwal Abubakar earned four each. Professor Ahmed Ahidjo urged discipline and continuous learning, while MDCN Registrar Professor Fatima Kyari and Vice-Chancellor Dilli Dogo called on graduates to serve and mentor others.

A man with a serious illness that had severely weakened his immune system died in Lyon in early October after contracting Shamonda virus, which normally affects cattle.
