NNL: Crown FC coach Akande reflects on 2-2 draw against Heartland

Crown FC drew 2-2 with Heartland at Dan Anyiam Stadium in the opening match of the 2026-27 Nigeria National League season. The Ajilete Warriors trailed by two goals at halftime after Ekene Osiugwe and Johnathan Osondu scored for Heartland, then levelled through Osas Kelvin and Mustapha Olamilekan. Coach Adejumo Fatai Akande said his side needed greater concentration and better use of space, explaining that he switched to a 4-3-3 formation. He said Crown FC had chances to take the lead before Heartland scored but failed to convert them.
