Nobel Peace Prize: Trump Misses Out Again Despite Warnings to the Committee

Donald Trump did not receive the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize on October 9, which was awarded to South African lawyer Navi Pillay for her efforts in promoting peace and international law. Prior to the announcement, Trump stated from the Oval Office that he was unaware of the committee’s decision but believed he deserved the prize for having resolved eight wars. This marked his second setback after the 2025 award to Venezuelan opposition figure María Corina Machado, despite his public diplomatic efforts.
