“Nothing Can Be Built Without Peace”: March Announced in Gagnoa

A peace march organized by peace ambassadors from the Gôh region is scheduled for November 7, 2026, in Gagnoa. Their president, Ambroise Kessié, is urging political leaders to prioritize dialogue and reach a compromise amid disagreements between the government and opposition over a new electoral body. Held as part of preparations for National Peace Day, the march will be followed by an awards ceremony honoring around 50 leaders from the Gôh-Djiboua district. The ambassadors say they have trained 60 community leaders and taken part in election-monitoring activities and efforts to promote a peaceful vote.
