Ogun Police Foil Night Robbery, Recover Two Vehicles and a Pistol

Ogun State police foiled an armed robbery in Ijaba, in the Iyesi area of Ota, at about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a distress call. One suspect was neutralised in an exchange of gunfire, while other gang members fled, some possibly wounded. Officers recovered a Nissan Almera, a Toyota Camry, suspected stolen goods and, from the deceased suspect, a locally made pistol, cartridges and a mobile phone. Police Commissioner Bode Ojajuni praised the response as the search for the fleeing suspects and the investigation continue.
