Podor: New Hearings in the Case of Aminata Sy’s Death

The custody of Karamo Cissé Ndiaye, the main suspect in the death of 17-year-old Aminata Sy, has been extended by the Saint-Louis Research Section with the prosecutor’s approval. His transfer to the prosecutor, initially scheduled for Friday, is now expected on Monday to give investigators more time to pursue their inquiries. A reconstruction of events was scheduled in Podor on Saturday, and officers were also due to question a marabout reportedly in regular contact with the suspect, as well as one of his friends. These additional investigative steps are intended to clarify the circumstances of the teenager’s death before the suspect appears before the prosecutor.
