One worker trapped as building collapses during demolition in Lagos

A multi-storey building collapsed during manual demolition on Monday, October 26, in Ijegun, Lagos, trapping one worker beneath the rubble. Another worker, injured in the hand, had been taken to hospital before LASEMA responders arrived and began a search with fire and ambulance services. The Lagos State Government said it would investigate the collapse and check compliance with building regulations. LASEMA also responded to three separate traffic incidents across Lagos, with no deaths reported.
