Morocco’s ruling allies turn on each other before election campaign begins

Morocco's governing allies are trading accusations and tensions are emerging within the ruling coalition ahead of the official campaign start on September 10. Voters will elect a new parliament on September 23, with 702 candidate lists submitted by 27 political parties. Approximately 15.8 million voters are registered for these elections, which will determine the composition of the next government.
